I am an Assistant Professor of Management in Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.

I study Strategic Management. My research focuses on understanding inter-organizational relationships using a behavioral approach, drawing on social psychological theories and the behavioral theory of the firm. I explore this topic in two ways. In one line of research, I examine what strategies firms use to solve problems they encounter in acquisitions, and how these strategies affect acquisition performance and firms’ acquisition behaviors in the future. In a second line of research, I study how firms negotiate, design, and amend contracts when collaborating with other firms.

I hold a B.A. in Business Administration from Wuhan University, and I also hold a M.A. in Strategic Management from Peking University. I earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
